College Catering is a large food service operation producing over 8500 meals per day to eleven University Colleges.As part of a large organisation, we can offer you a diverse range of experiences in a dynamic professional working environment with five weeks annual leave, on-going professional development opportunities and a competitive superannuation scheme.The role/Te mahiWe are seeking experienced Senior Chef's to assist our Head Chef's with the management of our food service at Arana and Cumberland Colleges.These hands-on positions will be responsible for the production of high-quality, nutritious meals and the supervision of catering staff.
You will be an effective leader with the vision and work ethic to contribute to an already high performing food service.Your skills and experience/Ka Pukeka Me Ka WheakoWe are looking for candidates with:Previous experience in the hospitality industry.Preferably a fully qualified Chef (City of London Guilds or equivalent).Customer service experience and great communication skills.Experience operating a food safety program.Experience delivering high quality, varied and nutritious meals, considering any special dietary needs.A high level of competency and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.Further details/PurokoThese are full-time, permanent, semester time only positions (38 weeks a year, February to November), located in Dunedin, commencing February 2025.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week, as per roster.
