Our client, a successful property investment company, invites you to join their dynamic team. This rare opportunity within a close-knit environment offers a pivotal role as a Senior Financial Accountant with one of Auckland's leading commercial property owners. Our client is open to candidates currently working with the Big 4 who are looking to transition into their first commercial accounting role.Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, Re-Leased, and other relevant systems.Oversee treasury functions, including daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting.Manage tenant relationships for financial purposes, including responding to queries and debtor reporting.Coordinate month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.Lead finance projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience.Provide general support across the business as part of a small Head Office team.Preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for review.Manage payables/creditor processes and payroll.Lead annual tenant opex wash-ups and budgets.Prepare annual Group P&L and cash forecasts, including rolling and long-term forecasts.Contribute to the design of internal controls and finance risk management framework.Provide strategic input into the direction of the Group alongside senior management.Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize returns within the Group's risk profile.Key Attributes:Process-oriented with a commitment to excellence and routine.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates confidentiality, trustworthiness, and professionalism.Shows drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.Adaptable and responsive to change.Creative problem solver with resilience in overcoming obstacles.CA or CPA qualification essential.6+ years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.Proficient in Excel and experienced in financial modeling.Familiarity with accounting standards, tax compliance, and organisational procedures.Experience with Xero and/or Re-Leased preferred.For more information, please contact Henry Shaw at Parker Bridge on ****** To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.
