Senior Advisor, Monitoring and Assurance Policy, Planning & Regulation, Government (Government & Defence) Support the PHA's monitoring and assurance function Permanent role, Wellington based Salary midpoint of $105,270 actual salary dependent on your experience At Manatu Hauora - Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. The Monitoring and Assurance team is responsible for Crown entity and system monitoring and supporting the stewardship role of the Public Health Agency (PHA). The Monitoring and Assurance team works across the PHA and the wider health system to monitor, support and improve performance in public health. As the Senior Advisor, Monitoring and Assurance, you will provide strategic performance advice to support the PHA's critical monitoring and assurance function. This includes building and maintaining effective relationships across alcohol harm reduction functions within health entities, as guided by the Public Health Monitoring and Assurance Framework. You will support the monitoring of Crown entity and wider system performance and supports assurance that public health objectives are trending in the right direction. The Senior Advisor may work across a specific public health area or more widely across the PHA, flexibly responding to business needs. Ko ake mahi - What you'll do Support relationships with Crown entities, including providing advice on performance improvement Support the development, planning and implementation of system monitoring and assurance across strategic and emerging public health priorities, aligned to the Ministry's system performance and Crown entity monitoring frameworks Provide analysis and reporting of Crown entity and wider system performance, using evaluation frameworks and tools Support the creation of monitoring documents, materials and approaches prepared by colleagues in priority monitoring areas to ensure quality, validity, accuracy and consistency Strong relationship management skills and experience in engaging with a range of sector groups and agencies in a positive and supportive manner Proven performance management and monitoring/evaluation/audit experience An understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations and Maori-Crown Relations Proven strategic skills that support deep-dive thinking about a particular topic, able to draw information from a wide variety of sources Ko matou me to matou whare - What we bring Unlock your career potential at Manatu Hauora, where you'll discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
