Our Disability Support Services reflect our belief that all people deserve to live fully, have equal opportunities, and achieve their ambitions.We are looking for energetic and motivated people to join our team of Whanau (family) Support Workers in the Rotorua area to support tamariki (school-aged children) and taitamariki (youth and teenagers) with their needs and help them enjoy activities while building confidence in their homes and communities.
This could include going to cafes, movies, supporting them to look for work, or joining a sports team.This is a part-time position, and the ideal candidate must be available between 3pm to 6pm on weekdays and weekends.Although prior experience working with children/youth would be advantageous, this is not essential as full training is provided for these roles.What does a Whanau Support Worker do?In this role, you would support young people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
