As part of our team, you'll take on a diverse array of technical tasks, ensuring the seamless operation of ElectroNet's contracts while continually pushing the boundaries of your expertise.
Your responsibilities will include routine protection, maintenance, and testing tasks, as well as supporting electrical maintenance and testing of high-voltage (HV) equipment.
Additionally, you'll play a vital role in the acceptance and commissioning of primary and secondary assets, ensuring the smooth integration of both existing substation upgrades and new substation builds.
With the opportunity to provide technical advice to external customers and maintain the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction, you'll be at the forefront of powering the future.
About You You'll need to bring a minimum of two years' experience in the power systems sector and either hold or be eligible for registration as a New Zealand Electrician.
Effective communication and a positive professional demeanour are essential traits, as you'll collaborate closely with colleagues and customers, contributing as a proactive team player.
Flexibility is key, as the role will require travel for project assignments.
However, we recognise and value the demands of such commitments, offering competitive working away allowances and penal rates to ensure fair compensation.
This role will involve regular travel for work and the ideal candidate will be comfortable being away for weeks at a time in different locations.
