Work for a team to ensure curriculum standards are properly followed and ensure that the curriculum itself is increasingly aligned with our framework and vision.Key Accountability (Main Purpose of this Job)The curriculum team member will play a vital role in shaping and enhancing our educational offerings from Kindergarten to Form 6, with a particular focus on secondary education (Form 3-Form 6).
This position involves actively seeking to understand the vision of the School and how it impacts the curriculum, while also ensuring compliance with various local and international requirements.
The role supports curriculum development, implementation, and assessment processes across the school, ensuring coherence across grade levels and fostering continuous improvement through audits and professional development.Work ContextThe ultimate aim of the school, including our curriculum, is to produce students who hold themselves to high moral and personal standards, are committed to improving themselves and serving society, and thoroughly develop their intellectual, social, spiritual and physical potential.
To maximize their contributions the curriculum team member is expected to be familiar with international best practices around curricula and to systematically deepen their understanding of our Bahá'í-inspired framework.
Flexibility in approach and operating with a humble posture of learning hold particular importance for this role.This is not a leadership position, nor a stepping stone into one, rather an opportunity to meaningfully serve the teachers and students in matters related to curriculum.
The role requires listening and learning from others, fostering collaboration, and unhesitatingly taking on tasks and leading initiatives.

Apply to join our expanding Curriculum team should you desire to embrace our values and approach.Key Areas of ResponsibilitiesCollaborationCollaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to drive curriculum-related goals outlined in the School's strategic plan.Work with the Curriculum Team to ensure alignment and coherence across all grade levels and subject areas throughout the school.Work with the IGCSE and IBDP coordinators to integrate secondary curriculum initiatives and support the successful implementation of the Diploma Programme.Collaborate with the Secondary Core Team (comprised of coordinators and level administrators) to address specific departmental and educational needs, enhancing curriculum delivery across grades.Engage with the Head of School to align curricular goals with the institution's strategic vision and ensure compliance with educational standards.Initiate and drive additional curriculum-related projects as necessary to support the School's strategic plan.Curriculum Development and ManagementLead the curriculum review and development process in the secondary school in accordance with IGCSE and IBDP standards, as well as Macau Basic Academic Achievement standards.Ensure that curriculum documentation is accessible and up-to-date for all stakeholders.Oversee curriculum standards, review, and coordinate with other Curriculum Team members and administrators to implement revisions and submit them to the Macau Education Bureau.Collaborate with the Curriculum Team to set annual goals that address curriculum needs, including improvements to existing curricula and professional development requirements.Provide a report on achievements related to the annual plan.Continuously evaluate and adopt resources and technologies to support effective curriculum development and delivery.Professional DevelopmentSupport the Secondary Core Team in assisting teachers both inside and outside of the classroom regarding their professional needs.Work with the Curriculum Team to identify and arrange school-wide external and internal professional development programs.In collaboration with level administrators and other Curriculum Team members, implement and monitor professional development (PD) initiatives, evaluating their effectiveness in supporting curriculum goals and reporting on outcomes.Personal AttributesOpenness to new ideas and approaches that align with both the vision of the School and best teaching and learning practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong collaboration skills.Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment.Independent, responsible, and demonstrates initiative.Calm and resilient under pressure, respectful and tolerant of diverse opinions.Working Hours & ScheduleThis role has 40 working hours per week.
Monthly working Saturdays—which often foster community engagement and extension activities—allow us to lengthen our holidays while still meeting contact day requirements.
There are about 30 days of Macau and school holidays throughout the year which includes both Winter and Chinese Spring Festival breaks, plus summer holidays.Compensation & BenefitsThe annual base salary, including housing allowance, is approximately US$44,000, after tax, and is slightly increased based on years of experience.
This does not include the annual travel allowance, new year's bonus, pension contributions, and a yearly re-enlistment bonus equivalent to one month's salary.
Furthermore, the government of Macau generously provides a teacher's professional development subsidy of at least US$600 per month.
Taken together, the after-tax total compensation that teachers receive is around US$58,000.Benefits include local healthcare coverage, reduced tuition for up to two dependents to enroll in the school, internal professional development, and assistance in finding an apartment which includes a one-week hotel stay.RequirementsTeaching certification and qualification in a secondary subject.A Master's degree in Education is an advantage.Minimum 7 years of successful classroom teaching and or leadership experience.Ability to speak Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage.Proven ability to lead curriculum review and development in a diverse educational setting.Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to handle complex situations effectively and offer solutions as required.An understanding of bilingual education will be an advantage.Experience using learning management systems.Start DateMid-August 2025.
