As a Senior Education Advisor, Maori Medium, you will be able to make a difference in strengthening educational performance in schools and kura, with a particular focus on our Maori-medium kura across Tai Tokerau.Responsibilities:In this role, you will work directly with our tumuaki, senior school leaders, Kahui Ako | Communities of Learning, and Boards of Trustees.
As part of the regional team, you will ensure that sector leaders and the communities in which they operate have access to the expertise, programmes, and resources that allow Akonga Maori to reach their full potential.Benefits:Salary range: $84,425 - $102,271 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.

A tertiary qualification in education or leadership, or equivalent practical experience, preferably as an experienced Tumuaki.2.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with student achievement data to determine needs and priorities.3.
Experience in developing and implementing projects.4.
The ability to develop strong working relationships both within and outside the Ministry.5.
In-depth knowledge of Tikanga Maori and fluency in Te Reo Maori (written and spoken).6.
An understanding of education systems in New Zealand and relevant education legislation.7.
Knowledge of the New Zealand National Curriculum, and Te Marauranga o Aotearoa, the curriculum for Maori immersion education.8.
An understanding of National Education and Learning Priorities (NELP), Ka Hikitia, the Action Plan for Pacific Education, and Success for All and how these documents impact on this work.9.
A current full driver's licence.10.
The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.11.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.12.
