The role will be fast-paced and demanding and exceptionally rewarding for the right person.The Vessel Controls team are responsible for firmware, algorithms, and communication systems that make the vessel take flight.
Our high-performance embedded platform synchronises vessel systems involved in actuation, propulsion, battery management, telemetry, and more.Additionally, we've built a Hardware-In-The-Loop testing platform to ensure our systems run perfectly prior to deployment in the real world.
We're looking for someone to take ownership of this platform by operating, maintaining, and upgrading our capability as we further develop our foiling architecture.
You'll also work within the Vessel Controls team to support general firmware development for our upcoming projects.You're likely someone who has experience from the electrical, aerospace, or automotive industry with a firmware and mechatronics background.
This is a hands-on role that will involve a mixture of software development, harnessing, electrical, and an appreciation of mechanical systems.You do not need to be an expert in marine, hydrofoiling, or electric vehicles, but you do need to be intelligent, willing to muck-in, creative, and curious.RequirementsYou do not need to meet every requirement to apply.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.Experience in software development, particularly on embedded systems using C/C++.Experience with electronics design, development, and debugging.Familiarity with common communications protocols such as CAN, Serial, Ethernet.Bonus Experience:Experience with PLC systems and structured text.Experience with Electric Vehicle systems.Experience with servo motors and drive systems.General experience within the marine industry.If you have read up to this point, think Vessev is the right fit for you, but you don't think this role is right for you, consider getting in touch with us.We are growing fast.Why our people love VessevWe are developing a foundational technology for the future of marine sustainability.
