About the Role Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health Nursing to join our Children and Adolescent Mental Health Team based in Kaitaia.
About the Service EIP provides support and treatment to people between the ages of 13 and 25 in the Far North, who experience acute mental illness, assisting them with maintaining mental wellness.
About you Our ideal candidate will:
Be a Registered comprehensive or psychiatric nurse, with a current practicing certificateHave a current, full NZ driver's licenceHave experience working with Mental Health Service users, with co-existing substance abuse disordersDemonstrate competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
