Woodward Chrisp are Gisborne's largest and longest standing law firm, with 40+ solicitors / support staff and a history that reaches back to the 1880s.

About this Role
Key team members are stepping away on maternity leave and retirement, creating an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor or Associate-level candidate to join an established and busy commercial practice, and to make a significant impact within their Commercial team.
This role reports to a Director and works closely alongside senior solicitors such as Associates, Consultants and Special Counsel.
Practice areas include:
Business adviceBusiness sales and purchasesContractsCommercial and company lawProperty law and conveyancing (including residential, rural and commercial)Trusts and estate planning and wills
Woodward Chrisp have invested heavily in their support team to look after the day-to-day conveyancing work to ensure that your time will be free to focus on more complex and interesting files to drive forward your legal career.
Your client base will consist of long-standing and high-caliber individuals and organizations and comprise many of Gisborne's major industries including horticulture, viticulture, forestry and agriculture.
You will also have the flexibility to broaden your expertise, as the firm encourages you to explore and gain experience in various areas of law alongside your core responsibilities, ensuring a well-rounded professional development.
