About the opportunity As our Coolstore Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of coolstore operations, ensuring seamless storage, inventory control, and quality management to support our post-harvest and packhouse operations.
This role is central to maximising storage efficiency, maintaining compliance, and leading a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities include: Lead & Optimise Coolstore Operations – Manage capacity, utilisation, traffic flow, and staffing to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations.Inventory & Stock Management – Ensure accurate traceability, reporting, and reconciliation of growers' fruit stocks.Ensure Compliance & Quality – Maintain strict food safety, market access, and regulatory standards for all stored produce.Drive Continuous Improvement – Analyse performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement best practices to enhance productivity.Health & Safety Leadership – Promote best-practice safety procedures, risk management, and compliance.About you Experienced in Coolstore, Warehousing, or Logistics Management – 3+ years in cold storage, packhouse, or supply chain operations.Strong Leadership & People Management Skills – Ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.Process-Driven & Detail-Oriented – Ensures accurate stock control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.Analytical & Problem-Solving Mindset – Ability to review KPIs, identify trends, and optimise workflows.Understanding of Cool Chain & Inventory Systems – Experience with SAP, warehouse management systems, or inventory control tools.Apply now Proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand is required for all applicants and any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory drug test, credit check, driver licence check, and security check.
