This is a full-time, permanent role at minimum 40 hours a week, 7am – 3.30pm.What We Offer YouCompetitive pay rates.Opportunity to travel for NZ for project work.Accommodation paid and attractive LAHA for working away.Long term secure employment.Access to leading edge technology and equipment.Long term maintenance contracts.Social activities such as fishing, BBQ's and celebration of end of projects.Training for those unskilled to progress as a Transmission Line Mechanic.KEY DELIVERABLES OF THE ROLEIn this role you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of conductors, hardware and structures used in the National Grid, including as required the erection, repair and/or dismantling of these assets while showing a high level of safety culture.ABOUT YOU – Required Skills And CompetenciesEWRB registered level 4 certified transmission line mechanic (Advantageous).Testing and Electrical Safety.First Aid and CPR.Experience climbing transmission towers and/or similar.Valid driver's license and experience driving appropriate vehicles on all roads, terrain, and weather conditions; Heavy truck license preferred.Excellent attitude to SHEQ.Physically fit especially with regards to heavy lifting, stretching, and climbing.Comfortability with working at heights.Live line qualification advantageous but not necessary.How To ApplyIf this sounds like an opportunity for you, click on the "apply now" button found on this page.
