Ready to join our quest for better?Job DescriptionThe Supply Chain Specialist II, Logistics reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.Responsibilities:Develops analytical tools to support having the right products at the right time with minimal risk of expiration.Manages clinical relationships to ensure procedural cases have proper inventory per case schedule.Utilizes tools within CIMS and Peoplesoft to maximize inventory levels and efficiencies.Uses productivity reports to measure department performance against KPIs.Resolves complex or critical situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other supply chain personnel; consults with manager as needed.Monitors daily activity to ensure policy compliance.Assists level one manager with special projects as required.Works with management to develop and document standard work methodologies.Supports MDI and daily huddles.Acts as a quality assurance auditor for the team.Represents the department in meetings as directed.Maintains local data integrity in Peoplesoft and CIMS.Responds quickly under pressure when problems arise.May act as a resource and contact point in the absence of the Manager of Supply Chain Logistics.Performs other duties as assigned.AA/EOE.QualificationsRequired:Experience in MMIS software.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.Good organizational skills.Critical thinking abilities.Process improvement skills and analytical ability.Preferred:5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.Knowledge of healthcare processes and supply chain management.Associates degree in a related field.Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification.Additional InformationNorthwestern Medicine is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected status.BenefitsWe offer a wide range of benefits to support employees' physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
