This is a unique opportunity to combine your love for nursing in a community/primary care setting, provide clinical leadership and improve child health services across the Mana Kidz programme by mentoring and developing an incredible team of nurses and kaiawhina through a culturally lead, clinical informed approach to health and wellbeing.Make your impact on our communities, shaping better health outcomes for future generations.About Mana KidzThe Mana Kidz Programme is a free, nurse-led school and community-based health and wellbeing initiative addressing key health and wellbeing issues for tamariki and their whanau in Tamaki ki te tonga (South Auckland).
By providing clinical leadership and supporting continuous quality improvement, you'll play a critical role in enhancing the quality of care delivered through this essential program.Impactful Work: Contribute to the growth and development of the Mana Kidz workforce and improve outcomes for future generations of Aotearoa.Diversity: Expand your skills and work across the diverse scope of the Mana Kidz programme as well as within NHC.Supportive Environment: Work within a flexible organisation that prioritises your wellbeing and development.Professional development opportunities, including expanding on your capability in Te Reo Maori, 8 days of development leave, and support for professional memberships and postgraduate studies.Discounts: Access to a discount scheme, hauora clinics, and annual flu vaccinations.Lead cultural and clinical standards and practices across Mana Kidz schools in South Auckland.Provide clinical advice and coaching to nurses and health workers.Conduct audit management for registered nurses and health staff.Develop strategies to drive research, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives across the service and with providers and their team.Support providers with professional development plans for their teams.Manage overall workforce plan for the programme.Establish, strengthen and maintain relationships across the programme and other relevant stakeholders/services.Minimum Requirements:Registered Nurse with a current NZ annual practicing certificate.Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in primary care/community.Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.Passion for improving outcomes for tamariki and whanau by growing workforce capacity.Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Experience managing risk and driving quality improvements.For over two decades, NHC has been guided by the aspirations of whanau Maori, striving to create lasting, positive change.
