Our people and contractors work with complex assets and high-potential risk, therefore strong safety leadership and critical risk management is an essential focus for our safety approach.He whakamarama mo te turanga mahi | About the roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for two newly created Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) Leads to join our highly motivated and hardworking HS&W team.
These roles will work closely with our professional teams who plan, deliver and operate our large scale and complex infrastructure.Reporting to the Head of HS&W, the HS&W Leads will play a crucial role in helping to enhance the strength and maturity of HS&W leadership across the organisation.Key responsibilities for the HS&W Leads will include:Providing subject matter expertise in safe systems of work, health and safety legislation, and modern safety management concepts.Providing accurate and timely advice to business unit leaders and kaimahi through technical experience, guidance, coaching, and mentoring of best practices.Driving health and safety improvements by reviewing and updating systems, processes, and procedures, identifying and mitigating risks, and developing and implementing improvement initiatives.Monitoring emerging risks and trends to ensure that Watercare's health, safety, and wellbeing practices and systems are aligned with the evolving needs of the business and industry trends.What you'll bring to the role:10 years' experience delivering HS&W support in complex large scale operational and construction environments with significant focus on critical risk management.Relevant formal qualifications and professional registration in Health & Safety or a related field.Expertise in safe systems of work and health and safety legislation.Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive HS&W practices.Ability to provide accurate and timely advice to business unit leaders.Experience in coaching and mentoring for best practices in health and safety.Proactive partnering and engagement skills to enhance HS&W leadership.We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including:Training and development opportunities.Life and income protection insurance plans.Generous parental leave policy.Employee discounts at a range of large retailers.Modern offices in the heart of Newmarket with easy access to public transport.Discounted Wilson parking.On-site free gym.Me pehea te tono mai | How to ApplyCome and join our team
