We have an exciting opportunity for several continuing and fixed-term Curriculum and Learning Developers to join the Ako Anamata | Future Learning and Development team.
In this role you will drive the design and delivery of high-quality, innovative learning experiences across online, blended, and on-campus environments.
This role supports teaching transformation at UC through digital technology and pedagogical expertise.
Key responsibilities: Lead faculty-driven course and programme design, ensuring engaging, research-based learning.Pedagogical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on online, blended, and in-person teaching best practices.Work with faculty and support teams to enhance teaching and learning.Oversee course development squads, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.Implement emerging trends in flexible and future-focused learning.Facilitate workshops and mentoring for educators in curriculum design and digital pedagogy.Mou | Who You Are
You will have a PhD in a relevant field, or currently working towards a PhD, and strong expertise in higher education pedagogy and course development of blended, hybrid, and online designs, and have:
Leadership experience, leading development squads and collaborating with academic staff to enhance teaching and learning.Project and stakeholder management experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex educational concepts.Analytical capability to assess learning needs, interpret student evaluation data, and implement evidence-based improvements.Implementation strategies for assessment, student engagement, and retention in an AI-driven education landscape, is desirable.Skills promoting and supporting emerging technologies (AI, VR, AR, OER), is desirable.Active engagement with bicultural values and an understanding of Maori cultural practices.As a Curriculum and Learning Developer you are required to have at least one 'specialism' that should be reflected in your previous research, teaching, education (at Level 10) or professional work.
