Exciting opportunity for an experienced R&D Food Technologist to join a dynamic food manufacturing environment.About the Role:We are seeking an R&D Food Technologist to support new product development and ensure the technical and food safety integrity of product launches.
This role is crucial in preparing technical documentation, developing product concepts, and assisting with trials and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Manage the stability study programme for new productsDevelop robust formulations that meet New Zealand and international standardsPrepare product specifications, documentation, and export informationCreate and assess concept samples to meet customer briefsConduct internal audits to support quality assuranceOversee factory trials and ensure smooth transition to productionParticipate in sensory evaluation and support troubleshooting production issuesWhat We're Looking For:Qualification in Food Science/Technology or related fieldExperience in NPD is preferredStrong understanding of food safety, compliance, and regulatory standardsExcellent communication skills and a proactive attitudeStrong attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomesNext Steps:This is an excellent opportunity for an R&D Food Technologist seeking a rewarding contract role with the potential for permanency.
