Commissioned in 1973, it features four turbine generator sets delivering a total of 240 MW.
Its advanced control centre not only manages the Tongariro Power Scheme but also remotely controls our Waikaremoana and Tekapo schemes.We're looking for a skilled Hydrology Technician to support our renewable energy hydrology networks and equipment, ensuring reliable and continuous data.
This role combines hands-on fieldwork with data analysis and is based at Tokaanu, with regular travel to Waikaremoana and occasionally Tekapo and Huntly.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the reliability and integration of hydrology networks into key business systems.Plan and prioritize work to maximize plant efficiency, availability, and compliance.Lead investigations and implement new hydrology technologies, systems, and processes.Maintain high-quality hydrological data and manage the database in line with Genesis Energy's QMS.Stay up to date with hydrology research and development to drive continuous improvement.While we're keen to find a senior technician with expertise in this field, we're also open to candidates eager to grow their careers.

You will work with a small close-knit team, sharing the workload appropriately.
