The Transport Planner is a newly created role within our supply chain function whose purpose is to support the State Planning Hub in the planning and scheduling of all bulky deliveries to both our customers and our stores.
This role has end to end visibility of all last mile activities and is responsible for monitoring the movement of all the bulky items and taking care of the logistics and customer activities.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assigning routes to each carrier and provide ongoing support to delivery teams on the road through effective monitoringProviding end of day reports and feedback to DSPs on productivity, customer service and communicate problems to DSPs and to the managerPerforming a daily end-of-day review of extra/special activities or exceptions submitted by the Delivery Service Provider (DSPs) for approval, ensuring accurate billing generated by the systemFollowing up on orders and promptly notify customers of any delay or issues related to their order Customer communicationMaintaining strong relationships with the Customer Service team by responding to all customer requests in a courteous and efficient manner Please note that the Transport Planner role operates on a rotating roster across two shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-9pm) 7 days a week.
About YouTo be successful in the role, you will have: 2 years of experience in logistics or related fieldStrong computer literacy and exposure to general software packages (such as Microsoft Office Suite) and warehouse software (such as Oracle, SAP, AS400), including transport management systemsComfortable embracing change, resilient in overcoming challenges, and flexible in adjusting priorities, all whilst maintaining a proactive approach to continuous improvementExperience in transport planning and scheduling (preferred, but not required)Experience in retail and/or e-commerce environments (preferred, but not required) To ApplyIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity with us, please click apply and upload your CV.
