With a rich history dating back to August 2009, Awanui Labs - Auckland is dedicated to providing accurate and timely pathological diagnoses to the community of Tamaki Makaurau Auckland.About the role | Mo te turanga:We are seeking an Operation Support for our Specimen Reception Department at our Mt Wellington Laboratory. This critical role supports the operational efficiency of patient services, pre-analytical and analytical departments while assisting medical practitioners with queries related to laboratory operations.Key Responsibilities:Provide operational support for clinical trials and laboratory troubleshooting.Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex issues for laboratory and customer service staff.Monitor real-time laboratory turnaround times (TAT) for urgent samples, ensuring quality service delivery.Liaise with medical professionals, handling complaints, and providing operational resolutions.Investigate and document service failures, offering recommendations for improvements.Assist with request form interpretation and provide guidance on sample requirements and billing policies.Coordinate with multiple departments to manage and troubleshoot new and ongoing trials.Participate in quality assurance activities, maintaining compliance with Labtests' Quality Management System.Support the development and implementation of health and safety standards in the laboratory.To succeed in this role you will need:A registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand as an MLT or Pre-analytical MLT will be preferred. For a suitable candidate there will be an opportunity to study towards gaining Registration with the Medical Sciences Council.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and within a small team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.Knowledge of quality assurance systems and laboratory processes.What's in it for you | He aha mou:You will be joining a friendly, high-performing, and forward-thinking team environment.
