Based at our Albany site in Auckland, you'll play a pivotal role in driving market share growth for our residential hardware portfolio.This position offers a dynamic mix of engaging with both existing clients (hardware merchants and other industry suppliers) and identifying new opportunities through new business development.
You'll work closely with the Field Sales Manager and South Island Account Manager to grow sales in the Residential construction and support sales growth through Pre-Hung Door Manufacturers and Merchants across the North Island.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify and acquire new clients in the Residential construction sector, while establishing and maintaining strong relationships.Cultivate professional relationships with both existing customers and cold leads to grow market share.Develop a robust call program to ensure ongoing engagement with clients and prospects.Provide technical expertise, introduce new products, and resolve customer concerns promptly.Support inventory forecasting efforts and conduct market trend analysis.Organise and participate in trade shows, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives.Gather and analyse market intelligence to identify strategic opportunities for growth.Maintain accurate CRM records, including detailed sales activity and data insights.Collaborate with marketing to create targeted advertising strategies and promotional materials.Travel: This role involves domestic travel within the North Island.About YouYou are a results-oriented Account Management/Sales professional who combines tenacity with an ability to influence both direct and indirect customers, making you a great fit for our small yet collaborative team.
You thrive on challenges, excel at managing relationships, and are skilled at acquiring new clients.We're looking for someone who brings:5+ years of sales experience, preferably in building products or hardware.Established connections and strong relationships within Residential construction, and a proven ability to acquire new clients in this segment.Exceptional selling abilities with the ability to communicate in a range of settings from site to boardroom.A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong ability to multitask and prioritise.High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.A creative problem-solver with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.We are the ASSA ABLOY GroupOur people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
