We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated, a team player and willing to have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.This role is part of the inpatient occupational therapy team.
This role will focus on early assessment and identification of how Occupational Therapy can contribute to ensuring safe discharges through assessment of occupational performance with the aim of reducing hospital readmissions.
It is the opportunity to be part of a great team of occupational therapists and to work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team.If you enjoy variety, have excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team, then this may be the position for you.About the Team/Service/LocationThe Occupational Therapy Department at Hutt Hospital provides occupational therapy services to patients/clients within the hospital setting.
Services are provided on all of the inpatient wards including Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU), Emergency Department (ED), Medical, Orthopaedic and Surgical wards.About youWe are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience and the following: * Registration with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board * Current Annual Practicing Certificate * Clinical experience in a hospital setting * The ability to work well as part of a team.
