In this role you will provide high-level quality administrative, operational and customer service support to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Working with NEMA Managers, Team Leaders, and their teams to alleviate as much administrative load as possible.
This is a high energy position, working in a dynamic environment where change and ambiguity are part of every day.
The position sits with the Business and Performance Unit/Te Wahanga Whakahaere Umanga and the purpose is to lead work on the Agency's strategic direction, accountability requirements, organisational planning and performance, and provide general business support across the organisation.
As part of the Strategic Enablement Group you will ensure our dynamic and fast-moving organisation is heading in the right direction, has a clear sense of purpose and builds transparency around how we add value.
As NEMA is an operational agency, there may be a requirement to respond to emergency activations in the event of a national emergency response.
This may include potentially long hours and challenging working conditions, e.g.
an emergency could occur at any time of the day or night and may require working shifts and/or working weekends.
NEMA provides thorough training prior to you being required to assist in a response.
NEMA will do all in its power to support staff in meeting their work and family responsibilities during an emergency.
The welfare and wellbeing of our staff is of utmost importance.
Your response role will be in the Logistics function.
Due to the nature of our role in Emergency Management, NEMA has a very dynamic work environment and as a small agency, staff are often required to pivot and change focus on their work at short notice.

The indicative salary range for this role is $68,348 to $72,145 including Kiwisaver employer contributions.
