Mo te Turanga | About the RoleIn this role, your main goal is to be the go-to person for top-notch drafting expertise across our range of products. This includes making sure our policy wordings not only comply with the law but also stay ahead of the curve in the ever-changing insurance landscape. You'll support the product management teams with specialist expertise in policy drafting. You'll be teaming up with Portfolio and Legal to really dig into the nitty-gritty of product intent— your keen eye will question anything that might need a closer examination, ensuring that the policy wording truly reflects the essence of the product.
Stay on top of the ever-changing legal landscape by keeping an eye on regulatory and legislative updates. Be the driving force behind our product team's response, offering insightful guidance. Make sure our products not only comply with our legal obligations but also lead the way and keep our customers top of mind.
This is a one-year fixed-term role and you can be based in any of our offices across Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

Relevant and recent legal experience in insurance lawInsurance industry experience, including market awareness, insurance risk management, product knowledge, regulatory and legislative requirementsStrong analytical and communication skillsCommercial acumen, looking to balance the drive for business improvement with recognition of stakeholder needsTertiary degree in Law with at least 3 years post-qualification experienceRecent (or current) admission as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New ZealandApplications close Thursday, 21 November 2024 at 11.59 pm.
