Senior AOD Clinicians WhangareiRubicon Charitable TrustLocation: Whangarei Central, NorthlandSector: Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical)Employment Type: Full timeThe opportunityRubicon Charitable Trust is seeking two experienced Senior AOD Clinicians to join our dedicated team in Whangarei, Northland.
These are two full-time roles that will have a significant impact on supporting individuals and communities in the region to overcome addiction and substance abuse challenges.Key responsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients with alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues.Provide high-quality, evidence-based individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions.Collaborate with clients, their families and other healthcare providers to coordinate holistic care.Maintain detailed client records and contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of treatment programmes.Participate in regular clinical supervision and professional development to enhance practice.Provide educational workshops and community outreach to promote addiction awareness and prevention.Support other clinicians employed by Rubicon Charitable Trust.What we're looking forA relevant tertiary qualification in nursing, social work, psychology, counselling or a related field.Substantial experience (minimum 5 years) working as a clinician in the alcohol and other drugs sector.Full registration with DPAANZ preferable or close to attainment of full registration.Demonstrated expertise in delivering effective, trauma-informed interventions for individuals with complex substance abuse issues.Excellent communication, interpersonal and case management skills.A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.Cultural competence and the ability to work sensitively with diverse client populations.Evidence of leading or supporting a dedicated team of professionals.What we offerAt Rubicon Charitable Trust, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing and professional growth of our employees.
