This fast-paced role supports the overall functioning of the Data Center by focusing on maintaining and improving the facility's critical infrastructure.
This includes all regular scheduled maintenance and ad-hoc repairs/troubleshooting.ResponsibilitiesFacility/Infrastructure MaintenancePerforms site inspections and monitors the building and Data Center alarmsPerforms preventative maintenance on site infrastructure (e.g., maintenance of primary infrastructures), or manages vendorsAssists more senior staff in repairs and corrective maintenancePerforms site rounds on all critical areas and systemsSite AdministrationMaintains notes and records of activity fulfillment in the ticketing systemCompletes site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and script membersCloses preventive maintenance work orders and files service reportsCustomer ManagementPerforms site capacity audits and completes basic work requests and circuit installations/terminationsSupports customer satisfaction with timely adherence to basic order execution requirementsDelivers quality customer service experience when interfacing with customersIncident ManagementAssists more senior staff with responding to all on-site incidents and acts as directedWill be the primary responders to any incidentsPerforms necessary escalation to duty Engineer and ManagerAssists duty Engineers for the resolution of the incidentCollaborationProvides assistance to department during routine maintenance activitiesSupports fulfillment of projects under close supervisionQualifications1+ years of experience in critical facility engineering, electrical maintenance, or a similar role within a data center or critical infrastructure environment preferredAt least a Higher Nitec/Diploma in an Engineering field requiredAble to handle heavy loads and perform hands-on activities in tight spaces
