Market Gardener

About the Role
We are looking for a Market Gardener to work in our onsite organic gardens; currently five tunnel greenhouses, outdoor beds, and associated facilities, such as the composting area. 3-month minimum commitment is required.
Duties & Responsibilities

Implementing the agreed seasonal planting plan provided by OFNZ management
Coordinating each stage of the production of crops across the seasons, including:

Soil Preparation & Fertilisation
Propagation and transplantation
Pest & disease control (disease, insects, rodents, birds, predators, etc)
Harvesting

Maintaining crop production by cultivating, weeding, de-budding and pruning, and maintaining optimal growing conditions
Implementing agreed procedures regarding supporting activities, including:

Traceability standards
Composting
Order, cleaning, keeping tidy and ensuring proper use of equipment, materials, tunnel houses and surrounding spaces
Record keeping

Maintaining organic standards throughout all aspects of crop production

Requirements

Minimum 3-month commitment.
Speaking Mandarin is preferred but not required.
Role is physically demanding.
No experience is required, all training will be provided
