Duct Fitter

AWF are looking for Duct Fitters who have a minimum of three years' experience for 50 positions across Wellington. You should have a good command of English both written and verbal, and experience with installation on local NZ construction sites. As part of your role, you may be required to travel between various locations including Auckland, Canterbury, and Otago. To be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum three years proven hands on experience Ability to study blueprints and drawings to determine job requirements including materials and equipment required Setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal Shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer Cutting sheet metal based on drawings and blueprints by using hand and power shears, guillotines and drills Operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts Inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces Includes sheet metal duct installers who install prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning, and others What's in it for you: Permanent position Hourly rate between $30-$32ph based on experience Monday to Friday work with minimum 30 hours guaranteed Weekly pay, including 8% annual leave accrual, Kiwi Saver contributions and ACC cover Excellent industry exposure and experience PPE gear provided, replenished when required Working with a dedicated team to ensure your health and safety is our number one priority AWF.
