The role will require you to effectively manage your department ensuring that it is delivering quality work for our clients and our people.Delivering good work ensures the long-term success and profitability of our business.
You are key to our success; without our people doing good work, we have no business.As a Department Manager, you will:Oversee pricing of work and preparation of tenders/quotes/estimates.Drive and encourage a collaborative work environment with staff and stakeholders.Be aware of and oversee contractual procedures for managing changes to scope of work for direct work and sub-contractor agreements.Ensure reports, claims and programmes are prepared and submitted correctly and in a timely manner.Ensure forward planning, organizing and ordering of contract subbies/survey/materials/plant/people.Provide leadership and guidance to maximize performance of department staff.Ensure the delivery of all work to required standards.We're looking for someone with:Excellent technician knowledge of electrical and engineering practices.Excellent understanding of industry costs and productivity.Experience in delivering turnkey solutions from estimating to delivery in the electrical field.Competent use of Word, Excel, MS Project, and email communication systems.Clear communication, ensuring requests are dealt with promptly and accurately.Experience managing and developing teams (preferred).Creating, Connecting and Caring for the CommunityOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills, and resources to a wide range of organizations that are strengthening our communities.
