We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified teacher to join our Specialist Team.
The successful applicant must:
be faith filled with a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all studentsshow exemplary learning and teaching skills with the capacity to engage students in a rich learning environmentwork collegially with our P-2 Visual Arts Specialist Teacher in providing a well constructed, explicit and sequential Visual Arts curriculum.have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build strong relationships with students, staff and parentsenjoy working with a diverse group of students from a range of backgrounds and have knowledge of EAL best practicehave a thorough knowledge of assessment strategies, be adept at analysing these and use this data effectivelyhave an understanding of contemporary learning and Victorian Curriculum.Special Requirements The successful applicant needs to:
be eager to embrace the Catholic ethos of our schoolbe accredited to work in a Catholic school or agree to achieve this within the next few yearsbe committed to child safety and maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practicescommitted to maintaining the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic School Child Safe Code of Conduct standards.hold a current VIT registrationSt Catherine of Siena Employee Qualities & Attributes St Catherine of Siena School staff are highly competent, passionate and engaging in their practice.

He/she will undertake other duties such as those in relation to supervision of students, extra-curricular activities etc, as required by the Principal.
