This role involves working closely with senior leadership teams, SENCOs, RTLBs, therapists, learning support coordinators (LSCs), heads of departments, and social workers in schools (SWiS) to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive the support required to succeed academically and socially.You will collaborate with teachers (nga kaiako), whanau, and external specialists to design and implement individualised education plans (IEPs), plan programmes for English language learners, and adapt support strategies as necessary. Your role is not just about meeting students' diverse needs but also about inspiring and motivating them to succeed in an inclusive environment.Key responsibilities:Strategic planning and coordinationPlan and implement learning support strategies and IEPs to meet student needsCollaborate with teachers, whanau, and external specialists to deliver holistic supportPlan and deliver programmes for English language learnersMonitor student progress and adapt strategies as neededFoster an inclusive and culturally responsive environment.Key skills and competencies:Strong communication and teamwork skillsExperienced classroom practitioner, able to support staffKnowledge of the NZ education system and learning support frameworksCommitment to tangata Tiriti and cultural responsiveness.Qualifications and experience:Fully registered teacher with teaching experience.
