This is a dynamic, challenging role where no two days are the same.
From carrying out engine repairs in the field to completely rebuilding an airframe in the hangar, this role will allow you to utilise all your skills and experience.
Ravensdown Aerowork is Part 145 and 148 certified which enables us to continually improve and modernise our fleet while providing the capacity and capability to repair or rebuild almost every component used across our fleet of aircraft.We want engineers who take pride in their work and apply their skills and knowledge to ensure every aircraft leaves the hangar in a safe and airworthy condition.
As we design, develop and manufacture aircraft modifications a strong ability to read and understand technical publications and drawings is essential.Key Responsibilities:Document and certify aircraft maintenanceComplete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements for Aerowork's fleet of aircraft.Troubleshoot and correct in-service faults across the fleetComplete all work safely and to the highest qualityLead and develop engineering staffIdentify and champion opportunities for innovation and continuous improvementAbout You:You'll need a passion for what you do, your attention to detail will be second to none and you will be able to cope with pressure at times.The ability to exercise your excellent problem solving and decision-making skills combined with excellent engineering abilities will help you succeed.The ability to be flexible and deal with the variety that comes with the role is key as one day you may be performing engine hot end inspections and then rebuilding a flap the next.You will be working as part of a supportive team of high performing engineers who all push each other to be better and are more than just work colleagues.Ideal Skills & Experience:NZCAA certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license or the ability to transfer a current licenceCurrent Group 1 aircraft and Group 3 (PT6) engine ratings or the ability to gain new ratings quickly.Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities and a strong commitment to safety.Ability to work to a high standard while monitoring and assessing the work completed by others.Excellent knowledge of typical aircraft maintenance practicesStrong analytical and reasoning skillsAbility to read and apply instructions from technical publication and drawingsIn return for your skills, we offer a very competitive package that includes an array of insurances plus excellent development opportunities in a supportive cooperative environment.How to Apply:Click on the 'Apply' button to create a profile and submit your CV and cover letter.Ravensdown is committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace.
