As an Accountant (Intermediate/Senior), you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive accounting services to our diverse client base, ensuring their financial affairs are managed effectively and efficiently.What you'll be doingPrepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting documents for small to medium-sized businessesProvide strategic financial advice and recommendations to clients to help them achieve their business goalsAssist with the implementation of accounting software and systems to streamline processesCollaborate with clients and team members to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutionsContribute to the development and maintenance of internal accounting policies and proceduresStay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practicesMentor and guide more junior members of the accounting teamWhat we're looking for2+ years of experience in a public accounting or similar business advisory roleDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAbility to document work with Xero or CCH WorkpapersKnowledge of Xero (Blue) and Xero Practice ManagerProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong technical accounting skills with a deep understanding of tax and financial reportingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProactive and solutions-oriented mindset to identify and address client needsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamWhat we offerAt Small Business Accounting, we are committed to providing a rewarding and supportive work environment.
