You'll join a like-minded team made up of the best in the business It's a unique opportunity to support solutions that drive real change in our customers' businesses.We're looking for a strong player who can:Deliver impactful solutions, translating complex business needs into clear and actionable reporting solutions that drive real value for clients.Be a team player, working closely with other members of the project team to deliver cross-functional data, reporting, and data solutions.Contribute to all aspects of reporting projects including analysis and design, build, test, and deployment.Become a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients, and acting as a credible source of information and guidance on all things Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.Drive project success, managing projects efficiently and adhering to deadlines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.The successful candidate will have expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, data transformation, data integration, T-SQL, and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure. Consulting capabilities include gathering requirements, documentation, delivery experience, training, and communication skills. Additional skills in report design, Lakehouse architecture, and other cloud platforms are advantageous.The successful candidate will have the following technical capabilities:Power BI expertise: In-depth knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Service, and administration, with the ability to design and implement complex data models, reports, and dashboards.Data modeling: A strong understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (including Kimball) and best practices for building efficient and scalable data models in Power BI.DAX proficiency: The ability to write complex DAX formulas to manipulate and analyze data, creating dynamic and insightful reports.Data transformation expertise: Proficiency in Power Query (M) for data cleansing, transformation, and shaping within Power BI.Data integration: Experience integrating data from various sources (relational databases, cloud storage, APIs) into Power BI using best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT).T-SQL skills: The ability to write efficient T-SQL queries to extract, manipulate and test data from relational databases for use in Power BI.Microsoft Fabric and Azure familiarity: Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Fabric and the Azure cloud platform, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, and Azure SQL Database.The successful candidate will have the following consulting capabilities:Experience gathering requirements from clients through interviews, workshops, and user stories, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and goals.Excellent documentation skills including developing functional and technical specifications, as well as assisting with the creation of Statements of Work and providing accurate estimates.Varied delivery experience across a range of agile and waterfall projects.Confidence in designing and delivering effective training sessions for end-users on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric functionalities and best practices.Presents well with clear written and verbal communications. Able to communicate with a wide range of people and present information and solutions to a variety of audiences, tailoring communication style to different levels of technical expertise.Strong time management and coordination skills and the ability to manage and prioritize competing tasks across multiple projects.It is advantageous to have the following skills:Report design principles: Knowledge of data visualization best practices and the ability to create clear, concise, and visually appealing reports and dashboards.Experience with Lakehouse architecture.Experience with other cloud platforms; AWS, Snowflake, Informatica.Experience with reporting/visualization tools including Cognos, Tableau, Qlik.Experience with ELT and Modeling tools; including dbt, Coalesce, and WhereScape.Experience with advanced analytics using ML models.Microsoft technical certifications:PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst AssociateDP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer AssociateDP-203: Azure Data Engineer AssociateOur commitment to you:A warm, open, and collaborative environment where you receive all the support necessary for success, including being mentored by experienced and respected Data and Analytics experts.We measure our profitability at a team level to ensure your input forms part of the wider team and no individuals are singled out.
