Greasy Hands NZ Ltd is an Auckland based mechanical workshop that is one of it's kind in NZ where it provides customers the opportunity to work on their own cars. We are growing and hence we are looking for an Automotive Technician to join our team. 

We are seeking an experienced full-time, trade-qualified automotive technician to manage day to day operations of our workshop and also assist customers with repair work wherever needed. 
The role will entail assisting customers with car repairs and double checking their work if need be. Apart from helping customers with car repairs, Automotive technician will also be responsible for
diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computersdetecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts and reassembling engines and parts after being repaireddismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking partsrepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as neededperforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulationstesting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performanceinspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness

Our ideal applicant will have the following attributes:
 Proven experience as Automotive TechnicianExcellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their componentsAptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)Self-motivated with a proactive solution focused approach to customer service.Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.Well-presented and have excellent interpersonal and organization skills.A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelinesCustomer focused with great communication skillsA problem-solving abilityVery good physical strength and staminaValid certification for the role of automotive technician is requiredWOF ticket is preferred but right candidate with right experience who meets the criteria for WOF will also be considered
 Hours of work will be 8:30 am to 6 pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Salary is negotiable for the right candidate.
