We currently have full and part time positions available in Whitianga, Whangamata, Waihi and Paeroa. We have flexibility of where these positions can be based across this region. These roles are community based and occasionally cover on the Thames Hospital ward.
You'll be working as part of a passionate Occupational Therapy Team, dedicated to providing high quality interventions to our community. You will provide quality assessment and deliver safe and effective interventions to support our clients to live as independently as possible. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and manage your own caseload and wait list.
Ideally, candidates will be Enable housing and wheelchair level 1 accredited; however, training will be provided for successful candidates if required.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Manage your own caseload and waitlist
Provide comprehensive assessments and goals to a diverse range of clients
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
We welcome applications from qualified Occupational Therapists | Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau who hold a current registration to practice with the OT Board of New Zealand.
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
At least 18 months post qualification experience and ideally experience with the Ministry of Health funding process; however, will consider new graduate Occupational Therapists
Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practice
A full New Zealand drivers' licence
Live and Work in the amazing Hauraki-Coromandel
