Heron Construction is one of New Zealand's largest marine construction companies and has been delivering projects in New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific for over 60 years.
We have successfully completed a wide range of projects developing ports and infrastructure across Australia.
Having recently secured several projects, we require a Hydrographic Surveyor to join our team with Head Office in Papakura, Auckland; however, you must be available to travel to our job sites across New Zealand and Australia.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall set out, monitoring, and verification of dredging and placement of material.
You will provide up-to-date data to the Dredging Superintendent and Works Manager on a daily basis regarding material removed, material placed, design levels in real-time, rock placement, and all aspects of quality control.
You should be tertiary qualified with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and have achieved - or be capable of achieving - Certification under the Australian Hydrographic Surveyors Certification Panel.
