We have an opportunity for an EHS Advisor to join the team in Palmerston North. Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will be supporting the Higgins Teams on all things EHS. This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with flexibility to work additional hours to meet business needs.What you will enjoy doingProvide high level professional advice to the front-line leaders and workforce and promoting a safety cultureCoach workers on best practice safety and help them to ensure all risks are appropriately managed in the workplaceReview implemented site EHS plans in conjunction with team leadersLead by example and implement Higgins practices and valuesBe a respected member of the team and celebrate people doing the right thingWhat you will bring to the rolePrevious advisory experience in health and safety within the civil construction industry is essentialTertiary qualifications in EHSExcellent knowledge of the NZ legislative environment including HSE, ACC and HSNO and industry guidelines and standardsThorough knowledge of work-related illnesses and injuries, and rehabilitation processesAbility to conduct comprehensive accident/incident investigations, recommend correct and preventative actionsStrong communication skills with a coaching, influencing emphasisAbility to build credibility and trust in the businessHow to applyInterested?
