Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Sous Chef to assist in the management of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes. You will play a key role in menu development, kitchen management, and ensuring our culinary standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Collaborate on menu creation, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Monitor food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Step in for the Head Chef during their absence and maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cafe style cooking and presentation styles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for food and commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
