Teaching - Early Childhood (Education & Training)
We are seeking a collaborative Head Teacher to join our amazing team at BestStart Puni Road. 
Our child-led, unstructured approach allows tamariki to explore and grow at their own pace. We're open to both experienced leaders and those ready to step into a leadership role.
Located in a rural community just outside Pukekohe, our centre has deep ties with whanau, welcoming generations of families.

This role is a permanent fulltime position working 40 hours per week.
Role requirements:  We're looking for a natural leader who shares our values and vision who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth. 
As well as:  B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification  A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum  Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality  At BestStart Puni Road, we understand the importance of our diverse, rural community and we incorporate these values into our learning at the centre. This includes activities such as collecting eggs from our centre chickens, harvesting vegetables from our garden, and picking fresh fruit from our orchard. We are also proud to be one of the few remaining childcare centres that has real grass
