Ks Taxi is currently seeking friendly and attentive taxi drivers to join our team in the Otago region of New Zealand. The responsibilities include picking up customers and transporting them to their desired destinations, ensuring that each journey remains safe and pleasant.

Key job tasks and responsibilities:

Maintain clean and tidy vehicles.

Take care of safety measures while transporting passengers.

Regularly maintain the quality of vehicles to ensure they are driven safely.

Able to use an online system to log waiting passenger information.

Pick up passengers at designated locations or when hailed.

Check passenger destinations and determine the most appropriate route.

Transport passengers to their desired destinations.

Help passengers with luggage.

Collect fares and process eftpos payments.

Operate a taxi in a safe and professional manner during night shifts on weekends and public holidays.

Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, including assisting with loading and unloading luggage and ensuring a comfortable ride.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and fellow road users.

Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Candidate Requirements:

Be physically fit.

Be honest and reliable.

Ability to work on weekends and public holidays.

Ability to work shift work including mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Be punctual.

Be drug-free.

Have a clean criminal history.

Experience or Qualifications:

Although previous experience is not required, a NZ Class 1 Full Driving License with Valid Passenger Endorsement is required. Full on-the-job training will be provided.

Hours and Position:

This is a full-time permanent job with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Pay Rate:

$29 to $32 per hour.
