Type of Position: Finance Assistant - HenfieldPay: £26k - £32kOur client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their office based in Henfield. You will be working in a small friendly team, and we are looking for a candidate that has a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing top-tier financial support.Responsibilities:Record all invoices and payments received daily/ supplier statement reconciliationsBuild relationships with key supplier finance teamsCheck expenses comply to policy and recordAssist Head of finance in recommending paymentsControl and administer purchase orders and expense claimsKeep filing system up to datePosting and monitoring petty cashSubmit payments runs for approval making sure these reconcile with purchase ledgerCheck payments are authorised and make paymentsAssist Head of Finance in developing reportsReconcile and prepare invoices from Customer service teamInvestigate queries and process correctionsSupport management on credit control with queries regarding customer invoicesLiaise with operation managers in respect of customer requirementsCompile reports as required by Head of FinanceDownload bank statements and reconcile payments on XeroProcess payment from website through XeroCash BookReconcile/Post bank transactions for various bank accounts on Xero and other software'sInvestigate any discrepancies and errors in accounts against statementsOtherAnswering inbound calls to assist other key members of staff when requiredAssist and preparing in submitting VAT Returns and Government SurveysResolve email and telephone queries regarding invoices and credit notesAssist Finance Manager with any other duties that reasonably come with the roleSkills Required:Knowledge of accounting software XeroImpeccable accuracy and diligenceHigh standard of literacy and numerical skills requiredExcellent Microsoft Office skills; especially ExcelAbility to build good working relationshipsTo work as part of a close team but on own initiative#J-18808-Ljbffr
