We're working with a well-established HVAC company based in Christchurch, renowned for providing top-quality heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions throughout Canterbury who are now seeking an experienced Estimator to help drive their commercial projects forward. About the Role: You'll play a pivotal role in the project lifecycle, ensuring all cost estimates are precise and competitive. Working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams, you'll provide essential insights that guide tendering, pricing, and project delivery. Your work will help secure successful outcomes for a range of commercial HVAC projects. Key Responsibilities include: Manage and allocate inquiries for cost pricing. Prepare tenders, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure pricing accuracy Assist in refining estimating processes and improving the accuracy of costings. Work alongside project managers to address any cost-related queries or variations. Support the General Manager with performance reviews and financial reporting. Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to stay within budget constraints What You'll Bring: 5+ years of estimating experience, ideally within the HVAC or construction sector. A solid grasp of budgeting, cost analysis, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation and communication skills for working with suppliers and clients. Familiarity with project management tools (Infusion experience is a plus). Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail across projects.
