Autism New Zealand - Regional Outreach Coordinator Outreach Coordinator - Wellington/Wairarapa Join our Team
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic person who wishes to make a positive contribution to their local autism community as a Regional Outreach Coordinator for Wellington and Wairarapa.
This key position will effectively coordinate and deliver outreach and support services within the wider regional autism community, and in conjunction with the National Office.
Part-Time: 16 hours per week (Monday to Friday, but days/hours can be negotiated).
The successful applicant will have: An in-depth knowledge of autism and related conditions, including knowledge of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Guidelines and NZ Disability Strategy, and the ability to work within these principles.
Experience in providing high-quality and appropriate autism information and support to individuals, families/whanau/caregivers, and professionals - preferably within the Education or Health & Disability sectors.
Experience in delivering training/education to both families/whanau and professionals, who work with and support autistic people.
Experience working independently - yet part of a regional/national team.
Highly competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Calendar and Email, and use of databases.
The successful applicant would be required to travel and work from both the Wellington and Wairarapa branches.
It has been assessed that the work of this role requires the COVID-19 vaccination for work health and safety purposes.
