Job description
Firebird is looking for a friendly and reliable Fast Food Cook to join our team in Wanaka and help us produce our famous fried chicken in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to handle the rush hours in a calm and confident manner and communicate clearly with the kitchen team. You must be able to prioritize food safety and ensure everything you produce meets our high standards.
Tasks & responsibilities
Operating cooking equipment such as deep-fat fryers and ovens
Preparing food such as fried chicken, burgers, slaw, and chips
Washing, cutting, measuring, and mixing foods for cooking
Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
Ordering and taking delivery of fast food ingredients
Taking and serving food and beverage orders, and receiving payment from customers
Maintaining the required level of food safety and hygiene
Experience
2 years relevant experience working as a Fast Food Cook in a commercial setting. Some on-job training provided.
Pay rate
$28.5 - $30 per hour
Hours of work
A set roster across 4 or 5 days which can include weekend days & nights
