DHRUV SUBHASH LIMITED as KASURI BAR AND EATERY are on the lookout for a motivated and committed TWO CHEFS to join our team in Auckland . You will be responsible for the restaurant's smooth functioning of the kitchen and the satisfaction of the customers by making delightful food. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week with a pay rate between $30.00 p/h. You will be required to work as per the roster, you need to be available on weekends and public Holidays. Your Job Duties will be: Ensure all food preparation meets the standards. Prepare and present high-quality food. Ensure all working areas are clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination. Planned and organised the preparation and cooking of food for all orders. Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget and quality Creating new dishes and planning the whole menu according to maintaining or raising profit margins Guiding correct and effective methods of cooking procedures to staff Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed. Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen. Interviewing, hiring and training new staff. Fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers. Ensure food is of good quality and stored correctly. Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues Discuss issues and concerns related to food preparation with the manager/owner. Determine customer requirements and dietary needs to prepare the dish What we are looking for: Minimum 3 years of similar experience in a busy environment or a relevant qualification in hospitality or culinary arts Experience in quality and cost control is essential. Excellent food hygiene practices High standard of personal hygiene and presentation Punctual, organised, and capable of multitasking with attention to detail Team player with effective communication skills Must be Non-Smoker. Must be able to pass a random drug test. Must not have any serious criminal conviction.
