Te reo Maori
James Cook High School is a diverse and vibrant learning community committed to doing the very best for our students. Our current roll of 1,600 students has grown considerably in 2024 and with a further predicted roll growth for 2025.
We are looking for a full-time, fixed-term te reo Maori teacher for 28 January 2025 start. Our kura provides education for the multicultural diversity of Manurewa.
James Cook High School has sustained improvements across a wide range of metrics, including improving learning, engagement and achievement.
We are seeking an enthusiastic New Zealand registered teacher with experience to continue improvement at our kura. Candidates should have empathy and understanding towards our students and their culture as well as the ability to create flexible and ongoing assessment practices for students.
Successful applicants will demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the New Zealand Curriculum and teaching pedagogies.
