In this role, you will be part of our Group Tax team within the General Accounting team, allowing you, in time, to develop and broaden your Tax and accounting skills. Working closely with both our Group Accounting Services Manager and our Group Tax Manager you will have a varied role.
In addition to the above you will:

Ensuring the New Zealand and Australian direct and indirect tax compliance is met.
Assisting with the accounting and taxation compliance for our New Zealand and Australian joint ventures.
Supporting the tax integration of the implementation of the new ERP/JDE systems upgrade project – Future Systems Programme.
Assisting with the tax related Group accounting month end processes as required.

We're looking for someone with:

A relevant tertiary qualification (at least on the path to CA/CPA).
3 to 4 years' experience in tax/private accounting in a Big 4 environment, or similar.
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to hustle quality work under time pressure.
Confident and clear communicator.

You will be a high performing individual who enjoys working on complex accounting/tax issues and enjoys solving problems. Ideally you will have experience in a tax role in a Big 4 environment (however all high performing tax/accounting professionals are invited to apply), are looking to broaden your commercial experience to include multinational tax compliance, implementing and maintaining tax compliance software, financial reporting, and corporate management accounting.
