Albany Junior High School is a Y7–10 middle school on Auckland’s North Shore, offering a future-focused, strength-based curriculum for emerging adolescents. We serve a diverse community who appreciate all that is on offer in our unique school environment.

We are looking for an inspiring educational leader passionate about the arts to join our team and lead a high-performing faculty dedicated to nurturing students' wellbeing and academic excellence, through a school-wide PB4L approach, across Y7–10.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary head of faculty to:

  • Drive the strategic direction for the school and the arts faculty encompassing performing arts, visual arts, and drama
  • Be a highly motivated and exemplary practitioner with relevant experience in teaching music
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of vibrant and inclusive programmes
  • Lead community initiatives that encourage service, participation, and skill development
  • Inspire and engage students, nurturing a passion for the arts
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and achievement
  • Ensure the delivery of engaging, high-quality programmes that meet diverse student needs
  • Actively commit to all aspects of school life, including our extensive extracurricular programme.

Albany Junior High School operates under the PPTA Secondary Collective Agreement.

Applicants must be well versed in the New Zealand Curriculum , and have a current NZ teacher registration.
