About the role:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Pre-Admissions Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Patient Services team at this private hospital. This pivotal role involves providing exceptional nursing care, taking a key role in leadership of pathway, protocol and guideline development, supporting the hospital manager and other team members in the management of pre-admission care, preparing patients for surgery, and improving overall health outcomes. It is full time, Mon-Fri with Christmas close down to enjoy that work/life balance.
Benefits: Christmas and NY close down Funded health insurance Nursing Council approved PDRP Referral bonus scheme Wellbeing programme What you have to do: Deliver specialized nursing care in direct patient care and support to staff for preadmission management Collaborate closely with nursing roles and medical specialists to help the hospital achieve strategic goals, mitigate clinical risk, and maintain high standards of care Research, develop, and implement best practice standards for preadmission nursing Lead the development of pathways, protocols, and guidelines for the Preadmission Service Skills and Experience: NZ Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate and the appropriate scope of practice for a surgical setting At least 5 years of experience post-registration, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in surgical nursing Postgraduate qualification in clinical nursing practice or actively working towards it Completion of a postgraduate clinical assessment course or its equivalent is required Proficient in computer systems at an intermediate level Previous experience in a leadership role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist is preferred This is a really exciting opportunity for a seasoned surgical nurse looking for a specialist role.
